Between Here and There

 

There’s something pretty special about the Australian landscape. The colours, light and sheer variety seem to change around every corner, from the soft pinks of the salt lakes to the dry, rugged country around Broken Hill and the river landscapes of Mildura. It’s a landscape that can feel vast and quiet one minute, and full of colour and character the next.

 

Travelling through the pink lakes, Mildura, Broken Hill and Canberra, creating art along the way and taking in as much of the landscape as I could. I've come home with a collection of ideas for the canvas inspired by the places I visited, and excited to bring them together in the upcoming exhibition at Artemisia Gallery in October 2026.
